Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything you need to know about The Feen Class-A Mastering EQ.
What is a note-based EQ?
Instead of setting a frequency in hertz, you select a musical note — C, D#, G, etc. — and choose which octave. The plugin calculates the exact frequency. You think in music theory. The math is handled for you.
What is the Class-A Color circuit?
It's a built-in harmonic saturation stage. You can apply it to specific bands or to the full signal. The amount knob controls intensity in 10 steps. In Full Color mode, 2× oversampling keeps the high end clean while the harmonics do their work.
What is +1 STEP?
The chromatic note selector gives you 12 positions per octave. STEP shifts the current band's frequency up one whole step, landing between the standard positions. Each band's STEP is always independent of L/R Link — so you can create stereo complexity without disturbing your linked EQ decisions.
Does it work on Mac and PC?
Currently macOS only. Windows support is on the roadmap.
What formats are supported?
AU, VST3, and Standalone. The Standalone app runs without a DAW — useful for a dedicated mastering workflow where you want The Feen session to live outside your project.
Is this a lifetime license?
Yes. One purchase, all future updates included. There's no subscription.
Can I try before I buy?
A demo version is available. The demo is fully functional but will periodically output silence for a few seconds to encourage you to purchase. Download Demo
What's the difference between the launch price and the regular price?
The $79 launch price is a limited early-adopter rate. After the launch window, The Feen will be priced at $129–149. Buy at launch — your price is locked forever.
What licensing system do you use?
LimeLM — a standard professional license management system. One license, two activations. You can deactivate and reactivate from your account if you change machines.
What macOS versions are supported?
macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later. The Feen is a Universal Binary — runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. No Rosetta required.
